One owner 1978 F-250 XLT, 400M block, 4sp with 2sp splitter giving 8 forward and 2 reverses, 4.10 rear end. About 100,000 miles on the pick-up. This pick-up has been in a barn or garage when not in use for most of its life. Used it for 26 years and has pretty much been sitting since 2004, but I do start it and drive it fairly regular. Not as regular in the last few years, so figure it's time to let it go. Never been wrecked and normal surface rust on frame. Had it repainted about 30 years ago to a deeper blue than factory midnight blue just because I liked the color. Paint is still good with a few normal rock chips. Engine was pulled and overhauled by Larry Decker of Jerome, Idaho at about 70,000 miles. Built it up some for better pulling power. Never has turned faster than 3000 RPM, mostly around 21 or 2200. Went to 4bl. carb and intake, mild cam, true 8.5 to 1 forged pistons, balanced and blueprinted Mallory pointless Ign. Still have papers in glove-box for engine work and bank papers from when pick-up was bought. Inside has had some modifications. Rebuilt door panels and dash, and headliner, put in different gauges and added tach. Also has vac. gauge, and oil temp. gauges for engine, trans., splitter, and rear end. Changed oil every 2000 miles from day one. About as good a condition as you will find in a user. Feel free to contact for any questions. Thanks.
