The Longroof STi Subaru never made is now a reality! This 07 WRX Limited wagon has a dream-come-true professionally installed '06 STI swap and is ready to be driven anywhere.
Vehicle History:
Car was purchased in 2016 from the original owner that had the swap professionally installed. The current owner drove the car from Iowa to Texas after purchase with no issues and has been driven almost daily ever since. Here is a snippet from ther previous owner's history:
"My dad purchased this as his daily driver in 2007. He drove it all the way until 2014. He traded it in at the dealership for a Volkswagen. At that time, I owned a 2006 STI. About a week after he traded it in, I was rear ended by a Ford truck which caused damage to the trunk, bumper, and windshield. At that point, I decided to do something that I had always initially dreamed of doing. I decided to purchase back the 2007 Wagon from the dealership and have a complete swap from the STI to the wagon done. Mechanically, the 2006 STI was completely sound. Ever detail went into the swap. The wiring harness was painstakingly and extremely carefully removed from the STI and then placed into the 2007 wagon -- it included the whole harness from the front to the back of the car. Both cars were stripped to the shell in order for this to be done. This is why absolutely everything on the 2007 wagon is fully functional -- rear wiper, locks, moon roof, auto dimming mirror, intercooler sprayer, HID headlights and leveling motor, full DCCD system, etc. . ...absolutely everything electrical works flawlessly. The harness was never cut! It is a full stock harness from a 2006 STI from front to back. A 2006 STI gas tank was also placed into the 2007 Wagon. If you know anything about the STIs, they have extra sensors on the gas tank. This was the only way to make the car fully plug and play without any check or warning lights on."
