Vehicle Description
1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 Convertible
1995 showed Mercedes-Benz in their last year of a build that
consisted of cars that were over-engineered, and the E320 is the
true definition of this. With its folding German canvass top that
melts seamlessly into the chassis when lowered and done totally
automatically! Also 1 switch controls all 4 windows, and under the
hood was the 3.2 Liter inline 6-cylinder that was one of the
longest lasting engines Mercedes Benz ever built.
For consignment, a documented low mileage car (less than 40,000
original miles) ...this car is merely being broken in. Couple this
with an owner that obsessively cared for, and maintained his
collection of vehicles, and you have a car that has a lot of
value...low mileage, AND real reliability.
Exterior
Design wise ahead of anything else of its time, this white painted,
nicknamed "Miss Blondie" car looks like it just had the dust wiped
off of it as it sat in the showroom, awaiting its first buyer. All
panels are essentially perfect, and doors slam with that
quintessential Mercedes-Benz "thud". The top works perfectly, and
if you were not watching it, you would swear it was never even on
the car as it just totally disappears! (When it's up there is no
visible evidence of bows or mechanisms). With matching bumpers and
premium chrome, this car screams you have arrived, but not with the
noise of its powerful engine or throaty exhaust, but with just
class, and quality of build. Very similar to a debutante floating
down the curved stairway ready to come out and sign her name on the
social register.
Interior
Gray leather, gray leather, and gray leather sums it up, but throw
in a smattering of burl, and a wallet full of conveniences like
power everything, climate control, and to top it off...hand built,
and a mere 3,000 produced in 1995, and you have something very
special. My dear increase the output of the concerto music on the
Blaupunkt.
Drivetrain
A Mercedes M104 3.2 Liter inline 6 engine hand built produces
217hp. Automatic transmission shifts so smoothly, you do not even
know it's doing it.
Undercarriage
Housed most of its life in Tennessee, it has never seen bad
weather, and it looks it. No rust, all very clean and structurally
sound.
