This 2004 Volkswagen Golf R32 is one of 5,000 US-spec cars built,
1,750 of which were finished in Reflex Silver. The car was
reportedly purchased from the original owner in October 2017, and
the seller has since added 3k of the 72k indicated miles. Power
comes from a 3.2-liter V6 sending power through a 6-speed manual
transmission and Haldex 4Motion all-wheel drive. This Mk4 R32 is
now offered with service records, factory books/accessories, a
Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the seller's name.
Compared to a 2004 GTI, the R32 is distinguished by a front bumper
with three large openings, a unique rear bumper housing a
dual-outlet exhaust system, side sill extensions, and unique
exterior badging. The rear-beam suspension from the standard GTI
was also replaced with a 4-wheel independent system. The seller
notes a few rock chips in the hood and front bumper, along with
several small nicks. Factory "Aristo" 18? alloy wheels were
standard on the R32, and are mounted with Michelin Pilots installed
under previous ownership around 3k miles ago. Sport brake pads were
recently installed, and a 4-wheel alignment and road-force balance
completed.
Inside, this R32 features factory heated Konig bucket seats in full
leather which was the only option offered. Additional R32-specific
features include a thick leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel,
metal pedal covers, aluminum trim, a unique dashboard top texture,
'R32? door sill guards, and a black headliner. Factory equipment
consists of Climatronic automatic climate control, cruise control,
a Monsoon CD stereo system, trip computer, and more. The carpets
are protected with a brand new set of R32 mats ($500!) The trunk
compartment contains a Continental space-saver tire along with the
factory jack and repair kit.
