Pontiac Bonneville convertible project car. 389 CID, 4 barrel with automatic transmission. Power steering, power brakes. Original color was sunfire red. This is a restoration project that requires body work as well as frame work. Great car to restore. I will describe the bad first. Frame has rust through on both passenger and drivers side. Note that rust through is on the front section of frame about 36 inches long on both sides. This is the section that starts at the rear of the front wheel well and then back 36 inches. The rest of the frame looks good. The floor of the car is not rusted through and is in good shape. The trunk has two patches about 12 inches square each. Front rear quarters, rear front fenders require patch panel repair on drivers side and passenger side approximately 8-10 inches up from bottom. Passenger door rubs on front fender.
The 389 engine was rebuilt 20 years ago (receipts available) and little miles on it. The transmission shifts smoothly.
Now for the good: Good leather interior. Back seat has some cracking but looks like a good leather conditioner is all that is needed. Door panels are great but have been cut to accept one round speaker on each side. The top has no rips or wear, fits tight, top mechanical components all work well, new hydraulic pump. All chrome and bumpers are excellent. trim is complete. Everything works, all electrical, lights, gages, etc. Good mufflers and exhaust (dual exhaust).
New parts: Battery, outside rear view mirrors (in box), dash cover, weather stripping, trunk mat, spare tire cover
