For Sale: 1976 MG MGB in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

This 1976 MG MGB has the instant appeal of a nimble British roadster finished in a deep enough green to race for Britain. But what really makes this one so nice is the level of fit and finish you get for such an affordable price.

The color and its coordination of this one makes it instantly stand out. British Racing Green is always a color of distinction on an iconic British droptop. But when the sunshine hits this sunshine-friendly convertible, you start to see that this cool color has also been expertly applied over straight body panels. The result is a car that instantly radiates like it's a cut-above. There's even a newer top that has a taut fit and pliable rubber seals. This looks great against the black bumpers for an almost two-tone look. And the addition of darker minilite-style wheels really completes this well-finished classic convertible.

If you like the way the black roof looks against the green, then you'll love taking it down to reveal the full black interior. Just like the exterior, you can tell there has been carful investments inside to keep this looking clean and vintage. The seats, boot cover, center console, dash, and door panels all look so nice. Plus, you have extras like MG logo seat covers and rubber floor mats to protect these elements. More than just look great, this was built to be enjoyed on the road. That's why you have a high-back bucket seat, grippy steering wheel, and a full set of Smiths gauges. And the gearstick just seems to be in the perfect resting spot for your right hand.

You'll want to open the hood wherever you go, and so this one has the right extras like a crisp MG logo hood pad and hydraulic hood props (the trunk has them, too.) And when you look inside, you'll see a tidy and well-done presentation. This is the proper 1800cc motor, and it has been given some nice upgrades, including a remote oil cooler and oil filter on steel braided lines. The motor inhales deeper with a Weber carburetor, and it exhales better with a header feeding the exhaust. It's an excellent power package that you get to enjoy to the fullest with the four-speed manual transmission w/electric overdrive. Plus, with front disc brakes, upgraded Continental sport tires, and the MGB's nimble steering, this is a great machine to enjoy on your favorite open road.

Complete with owner's manual and maintenance records, this is the all-around well-done MGB you've been waiting for. So at a price like this, you know you need to hurry up and call today!
