This is a rare and desirable, frame-off restored, Hampton Blue,
427ci/435hp V-8 and tri-power equipped Corvette roadster. No
expense has been spared since being finished under 5,000 miles ago.
It has been fully documented and all receipts will go with the car
upon sale.
Under the hood of this incredible car is a date code correct,
numbers matching 427ci/435 horsepower V-8 Holley tri-power equipped
engine with snowflake intake manifold and ignition shielding. The
power plant is mated to the original 4-speed close ratio
transmission, Posi-traction rear-end with 3.70 gears and a
heavy-duty suspension and sway bar. The car originally came with
side-pipes, but they were replaced with a custom, stainless steel
dual exhaust. Everything works just as it should with everything
restored or replaced to original quality and beyond.
Outside, the stunning, show-quality Hampton Blue paint shimmers in
the sunlight, and gets noticeably darker on overcast days. It has
an impeccable fiberglass body with great lines and panel fit,
perfect chrome bumpers and the original big block 427 hood. It is
topped off with a white convertible top sitting on factory rally
wheels and like-new BF Goodrich radials. The undercarriage is
spotless with a beautifully repainted frame and looks as you would
expect of a frame-off restored car.
The interior is flawless and looks factory new after being
completely refurbished. It has a great looking dash with a full set
of refurbished gauges and original AM push-button radio. This car
has been in a high-end collection and only driven routinely to keep
the car fresh and in good running order.
