Vehicle Description
Old meets new in a pretty impressive way with this very rare and
astounding 1934 Ford panel delivery. While externally it still
looks like a vintage streetrod, underneath there's enough modern
componentry to make it qualify for a new birth certificate. LS1
power, custom chassis, a sizzling paint job on an all steel body
and custom interior separate this sedan delivery from the ubiquity
of any hot rod run. If you're looking for the ultimate hauler,
you've just found it.
Nobody's arguing that the 1934 Ford wasn't among the all-time great
designs. Just look at how the values of quality pre-war streetrods
have risen, and you'll agree that there's something to be said for
this delivery's classic good looks. The all steel body hasn't been
grossly chopped or modified, maintaining the classic lines Henry
Ford always envisioned. The hallmark features of the suicide doors
and original style hood with louvered side panels are awesome,
while an LED taillight strip under the rear window and aggressive
stance amplified by those shiny staggered wheels add a bit of
modern flair. The paint is an expertly applied Viper Red that is
still in show quality condition today, and those "CD's Tobacco
Express" vinyl decals on the blocked out rear panel are easily
removable. The chrome has all been refinished, including the
grille, bumpers, hood ornament, door handles, and accent trim
pieces. It's a total package that makes a total stunner out of a
rare canvas.
Once you open the door, you'll never believe this car is a 1934.
The full custom interior has been done in tan and beige
ultraleather with a particularly nice eye for detail. After all,
everything from the plush carpeting to the seatbelts on the bucket
seats matches the darker tan insert color seen throughout the
interior, and the beige colored material comfortably wraps the
driver and passenger from head to toe. This beautiful color scheme
continues to the door panels, long side cargo area panels, and even
the rear door for a full uniform presentation. Plus, you'll love
the little touches like the Ford logos branded in the door panel
inserts and on the swing-away back door. Slip behind the wrapped
billet steering wheel that rests atop an Ididit polished tilt
column, and you get a commanding view of the gold VDO gauge panel
that's set in a cool billet bezel for added attention. The
remainder of the dash is super sleek and painted in the same Viper
Red that adorns the exterior, with the only augmentation being
billet A/C vents that pump modern R134a cold air throughout the
cabin. A bespoke middle console rests between the high-back buckets
and houses controls for the power windows and doors, along with a
modern Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth head unit that powers the
speakers and subwoofer installed in the side panels of rear cargo
area.
The engine is a highly desirable 5.7L V8 LS1 aluminum block that
catapults this '34 into everyday driving possibilities. Of course,
it's been expertly installed and slathered in chrome for a truly
show-ready look, and wherever possible, each component has been
polished and detailed to match the engine. Note things like the
cast chrome headers, the giant Walker radiator, and there's a
serpentine belt drive system for added reliability. Underneath is a
streetrod builder-trusted TCI Stage III chassis, a Mustang II
independent front suspension featuring power steering, coilovers,
and hydraulic-powered Wilwood 4-disc brakes that stop this panel on
a dime. A modern 4L60E 4-speed automatic channels power to a
posi-traction Ford 9" rear end full of 3.53 gears, helping this
beauty cruise effortlessly, and the soundtrack is provided by a
throaty Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Finally, polished aluminum
Billet Specialties wheels are slightly staggered for a subtle rake
and wear 225/45/17 front and 255/45/18 rear Michelin radials.
