When my daughter was about 8 yrs old she rode in this dreamboat and would say: " Daddy I feel like a princess " as she waved back at all the people as they were waving, giving thumbs up, honking and saying what a beautiful ride, need I say more about the magic allure of this car ?
OK, if you must be a stickler here are the details. Was # 18 in the GM 100 yr parade in 2008. Is an awesome rare find survivor with only 30k miles. Loaded, power everything, a/c and even gold trim package. Gas tank has been professionally rustproofed inside and out, radiator recored, carb rebuilt, fuel and water pumps replaced, wheel bearing seals replaced, brakes redone, bumpers rechromed and stainless steel exhaust.
Transmission rebuilt by 2nd owner at approx 20k miles because vehicle sat too long w/o use. Yes the radio and clock still work and yes that really is Barbara Eden's signature on the owners manual but sorry she never owned it she just signed it for my daughter.
Has some minor issues just like you would after 62 yrs and you could only hope to look this good at that age. Front drivers seat leather has some stitching opened with some cloth seat area rips. Some play in the steering. Some pitting in pot metal trim, some tan stains in headliner, original paint has some chips and scratches. Gas gauge works when it wants to, power antenna needs cable, power steering needs seals, same with a/c and the trans and oil pan gaskets leak and exhaust gasket leak. The rear drivers side bumper end cap has a crack. Overall the vehicle seems 99 percent rust free.
You'll kick yourself if you miss this one, so don't come crying to me if you're too late. Elvis has left the building and Leno already has way too many cool cars so this may be your chance at obtaining some celebrity status on the cheap. It is fun and awesome as it is but well worth putting some time and money into it to make it a #1.
This car even helped inspire the creation of the Duke of Wheels persona and his many car tunes as evidenced in this video https://youtu.be/C1lHoNG2SHg ( In video please note on shoulders of black tux the crescent shaped chrome pieces and see if you recognize where on 56 Caddy they are from). On the suits and shoes in the video if you can guess which vehicles and from where on each the bright work is from I bet Classiccars.com will give you a million bucks.
Does not come with OnStar but a lifetime subscription to RockStar and six months free secret service protection plan as shown in picture # 31. Don't be stupid and continue in the rigged stock market - instead invest in fun classics like this one. Yes that is my daughter in the wedding picture and of course she had to have the Caddy in the wedding after all it was her princess day.
P.S. The trunk is loaded with awesome gifts worth over a thousand dollars. You will have to locate the hidden trunk button in the car to reveal your booty. That's a cool way of saying the trunk key doesn't work but the prizes are real. Also located in the trunk is a state of the art antitheft system as shown here https://youtu.be/XW8iAVwt_Yc
God, I wish someone would give me a deal this good !
Last eBay winning bidder could not get loan so here is your second chance at this beauty.
