Why This Vehicle is Special:
Charming patina and upgraded drivability makes this a great find.
The motor is a 4.6 SOHC V8 that runs nice and strong. Paired with 4 speed automatic, the two make a great combo. She also has power steering, power brakes, and A/C. Very comfortable and reliable.
The interior is black vinyl, with bucket seats, and some polished wood accents. The carpet and door panels are also black, and are in good shape, too. The dash appears to be in good shape, too.
Exterior we have a patina orange that looks great. Patina cars have a certain charm to them and this truck is no exception. She is a driver quality truck, so she has blemishes here and there, but nothing to be concerned with.
This is a solid truck that has lots of charm, drivability, and reliability.

Brothers like to build, and now there’s a dad-and-daughter project in the works, too
Hand-me-down from uncle to nephew is in original and running condition
The yellow-and-maroon paint scheme may not be to everyone’s liking, but the seller of the Pick of the Day, a 1956 Ford F-100, notes that the pickup is a “very original” fat-fender example
My oldest son, Rob, and I purchased an old farm truck that had almost as much rust as it did clean metal.

An upcoming exhibit tracing the history of Ford F-Series pickup trucks since 1948, announced for January by LeMay seemed like a good jumping-off point for today’s Pick of the Week.
