1984 DODGE RAMCHARGER 2 DOOR AW-100 This 1984 Dodge Ramcharger 2
door AW-100 1, original owner for the 1st 30 years of it life, with
42750 miles Powered by it's original 5.2l 318ci SD OHV V-8 matched
to a Chrysler Loadflite TF-727A automatic transmission with 3.21
rear axle, disc brakes and 3500# front axles are all original to
the vehicle. The interior is spotless with bucket seats in front
and bench in the rear. All seats, carpeting, door panels and
headliner are pristine. All glass and chrome are excellent. Engine
has new hoses, belts and radiator. Air conditioning is original.
All tires are near new mounted on original steel wheels with
original wheel caps. Aftermarket gauges monitoring engine
temperature and oil pressure are neatly installed in-dash. An
aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette with 5 band equalizer is installed in
dash. Original build tag is retained on the underside of the hood
as is all other original tags, stickers and build marks and jack.
Original blue exterior and interior. The Ramcharger followed the
D-series pickup's 1981 redesign into the Ram and is considered the
second generation. Typically powered by the 5.2l 318 cid SD OHV
engine with the automatic transmission models having the Chrysler
Loadflite TF-727A or B. An all-wheel-drive part-time NP-208
transfer case was standard. Axles were Dana 44 front and 9�" or 8
1/4" Chrysler corporate rear. AWD models were equipped with the CAD
(Center Axle Disconnect) version. The CAD Dana 44 was vacuum
actuated by a switch on the transfer case and powered by engine
vacuum. The CAD Dana 44 was carried on until the end of Ramcharger
production in 1994. The AWD versions used a 5 on 4�" wheel bolt
circle and the part-time 4WD models used a 5 on 5�" bolt circle. It
is still a very popular vehicle with the daily driver or custom
automotive fanatic. They are commonly built up as lifted 4 wheel
drives, but there is occasionally a lowered 2 wheel drive version.
However, they are one of the few vehicles that looks good in either
