Vehicle Description
The third generation of the Type 2/3, otherwise known as the
Volkswagen Bus or Van was built from 1979-1992. Although the rear
engine designed lasted through its entirety, the air-cooled engine
was phased out for a water-cooled boxer engine in 1983. The vans
are extremely versatile and have been everything from fire-trucks
to wreckers to the all so common campers that have also come in a
variety of forms from, home-built to major manufacturers. This
Vanagon L had been converted from passenger to a camper with pop
up, stove, fridge and sink that all work properly. It is a Southern
California vehicle with absolutely zero rust with some paint fade.
It has great tires and brakes and runs excellently. It was just
driven here from California with not one issue. It has electrical
hook up for campsites or a generator. Ok, now for the bonus. This
van comes with a complete Subaru Legacy 2.2 Liter engine conversion
kit. Everything you will need to do a swap with wiring harness and
blue prints. Although this Van runs excellent, the power for a
stock VW van is a 67 HP with 97 Ft. lb of torque and with the
Subaru swap you would increase your power to 130Hp with 137 ft lb
of torque. This vehicle has been used but not abused and is clean.
It comes with a new stereo with remote, USB and MP3. It also comes
with the official VW factory repair manual and Subaru Haynes repair
manual.
