For Sale: 1957 Porsche 356 in Alpharetta, Georgia

Vehicle Description

Absolutely amazing 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster Replica! This beautiful Seal Gray Replica has just 2550 miles, is in near flawless condition and runs and drives as good as it looks!  Upgrades galore including the built 1915cc motor, 4 wheel disc brakes, 3.88 freeway flyer transmission, fog lights, external oil cooler, and more!!

That’s correct, I did say Replica, but not just any replica….this speedster was hand built by Vintage Speedsters out of California, the #1 builder of Porsche Speedster Replicas. In fact they have built about 90% of all the Porsche Speedster replicas on the market and their quality is top notch.

They use a custom built, jog welded 2×4″ 11 gauge steel frame. This rigid new structure retains the original VW floor pan designed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and integrates the largest frame possible. In addition the steering wheel is offset slightly just as it was in the original Speedster. While original Speedsters are a rare breed, Vintage Speedster Replicas are rare in their own right with roughly only 3000 built. This will be a great addition to any car guy or gals collection, or perfect for anyone looking for a truly unique sports car investment that can be driven anywhere as well be taken to the car shows and cruise-ins. Most people have no idea that this is not an original worth well over $150k and it will be up to you if you want to reveal the secret when you get stopped everywhere you go. I will do my best to provide you with enough large images, a video of the car running and an honest description to help you decide if this is the one for you. Sit back and enjoy!! As you will see in the pics the body on this Seal Gray Speedster is in amazing condition.

This Seal Gray beauty was built in 2013 for a gentleman in Florida who wanted a classic 356 Speedster that matched his Seal Gray Porsche Boxster.  He enjoyed the Speedster tremendously but after about 3 years and 1500 miles he decided to pass it along to a guy in Florida who also lived most of the year in London. This owner only drove the car about 800 miles in 3 years and asked the original owner if he could help him find a new owner. I jumped at the opportunity and now it is available to the next lucky owner...maybe you!!!?

Paint quality and Body panel fit is fantastic and the doors on this replica open and shut like a new Porsche. As you will see this one has a slight Outlaw look to it with the Sport Carrera style mirror, A-1 Sidewinder exhaust and Wide 5 black painted wheels.  Other than a couple of extremely tiny paint chips this Speedster is near flawless.. All of the chrome trim and stainless looks excellent. Slight oxidation on the drivers door handle. Nice set of rock guards grilles on the headlights and all of the Porsche badging. I believe these Speedsters should be driven top down as often as possible but of course it is nice to know that if needed this Speedster has a like new, black convertible top that goes up in minutes and fits very nicely. The top is in like new condition. Side window inserts when needed. When you have the top down there is a great boot cover that snaps on for a clean look. But please, enjoy this baby topless as much as possible!!!

Complimenting the Seal Gray Metallic exterior is an equally impressive black interior.  The interior is also essentially flawless. Simplistic sophistication is the best way to describe the layout of the interior. Very comfortable and supportive authentic bucket seats look close to new.  Race style Seat belts for both front passengers. The door panels on this one are nicely upgraded with closing pouches on each door. There is a rear seat pad but I think it is more like a storage shelf than a seat. Door panels and carpeting look great. Dash is neatly laid out with all of the gauges you need to monitor the performance of this air cooled 1915 cc dual carb engine. All of the gauges, lights, turn signals etc are working correctly.  Beautiful Wood Grain steering wheel with the Porsche emblem horn button. Fire extinguisher neatly tucked under the dash. A nice set of Coco Mats completes the interior.

This is the 19th Vintage Speedster I have owned so I knew what to expect when this one arrived. However, I when I got my first one I have to admit I was a little skeptical about how much fun it would be to drive. Well, after driving that first one I was immediately a fan. This one has just under 2500 miles on it. If you ask me if the car is fast I will be honest and tell you no it is not. If you ask me if it is fun to drive I will enthusiastically say absolutely yes!!! These cars have a serious fun factor unlike anything else. This one has the 1915 cc dual carb air cooled engine which was upgraded at the time of the build with an Engle 110 cam, upgraded Empi/Weber carbs,Chromalloy push rods, and the A1 sidewinder exhaust.was always well maintained even with such low mileage.  It  is an absolute blast to drive and has plenty of get up and go with the upgraded motor.  It also cruises along at highway speeds thanks to the freeway flyer 3.88 transmission with no problem.. The car has a really sporty tone from the A1 Side winder exhaust with an added race bullet style muffler You can hear it running in the video that follows. This little speedster also handles really well with the upgraded Wide 5 wheels wrapped in Pirellii rubber. Braking is a breeze with the upgraded 4 Wheel disc brake option this one has. This one also has the optional external oil cooler which is a great idea on these. Maintenance is cheap and easy on this car and any foreign car mechanics should be able to do a valve adjustment and tune up every 3-4,000 miles to keep it running great The undercarriage looks great and engine bay is also nice and clean as you would expect.. Plenty of storage in the front trunk area so go ahead and take that weekend trip to the mountains or the beach, it will be a ride to remember but make sure you leave a little extra time for all the questions and thumbs up you will get along the way. There is nothing this car needs but you in the drivers seat!! This one is titled as a 1957 Porsche replica. Be sure to watch the video that follows to hear it start up and running. Asking price is $32,500 and will listen to serious offers. Serious buyers should call me at 770-359-8400 .
