Just 602 Z/28’s were built for the 1967 model year for Homologation purposes. The public fell in love with the nimble handling, high-winding small block and sure footed stopping. The Z/28 was on its way to becoming the most famous option code in Automotive History. 5Z28BD was the special engines equipment package. It was an $858.40 option. In addition, the Camaro has 20 other options including positract axle with 373s, 4 speed manual transmission, special steering, rally sport package, disc brakes and very rare headrest contour seats and folding rear seat. Total of $1654.45 in options on a $2633.75 base car.
