This 365 GT 2+2 was originally intended to be delivered to official Italian dealer M. Gastone Crepaldi in Milan, Italy, but changed during production and thus delivered to Canadian Ferrari importer George Woolley in Montreal, Quebec.  Sold to its first owner, Clarke Graham of Vancouver, it remained in Canada until being sold to well-known Canadian racer and collector, Jack Boxstrom of Ontario in 1978.  It remained in his ownership being used seasonally until 1988 at which time it had a mere 26,000 miles.  In 1988 it was then sold to well-known Florida Ferrari collector Bill Raithel.  In 1992, this 365 GT 2+2 was shown at the Cavallino Classic where it was awarded the Preservation Cup.  Having remained in Mr. Raithel’s ownership for many years, it was then sold to Mr. Terry Phillips of Raleigh, NC in 1999.  Mr. Phillips had significant work performed shortly after taking ownership by Foreign Cars Italia (Greensboro, NC) including a top end engine rebuild, fuel system, brakes, A/C, radiator, distributor, water pump and electrical system work.  Mr. Phillips enjoyed this 365 GT 2+2 during his ownership and had it serviced and maintained by both well-known Ferrari dealers Foreign Cars Italia and Sport Auto.

This 365 was then sold to Mr. Steve Valin from California in 2006.  To quote Mr. Valin: “I flew out to North Carolina to see the car, Terry and I drove it to VIR to a Ferrari event.  That was a blast!”  Mr. Valin kept the well-maintained 365 until 2013.  Just prior to his sale, further maintenance work performed included valve stem seals, water pump, and turn signals repaired.  This 365 was consigned to auction later in 2013 and purchased by another well-known California, Mr. T. Gildred.

Recently traded to Autosport Designs, this 365 GT 2+2 has never needed a full restoration, it is one of the finest examples we have owned and we have owned many throughout the years.  It has been repainted in recent years, it has been maintained, when and where needed as can be seen in its history file and remains superb condition.

During its most recent ownership, the following service/maintenance has been performed by Autosport Designs:  Air conditioning service, Oil temperature gauge repair, Clutch fork replacement, Radiator repair and recore, Complete yearly service fluid change, Side mirror replacement and a 4-wheel alignment.

The 365 GT 2+2 is superb to drive with excellent gearbox, cold air conditioning and comes complete with service history.  This 365 is a matching numbers example with original books, tools, factory jack and is exceptional both mechanically and cosmetically.  This is a wonderful GT car with power steering, air conditioning and four usable seats.  Please do not compare this 365 GT 2+2 with the lesser 365’s offered in today’s market, this 365 is sorted, ready for immediate use and without a doubt has been owned by some of the best collector owners throughout its life to date.
