Vehicle Description
This cool 34 Ford was built by North Texas Rod and Custom in a 60's
Hot Rod style that really looks great. However, if you like to
drive your cars, have the engine start each time you turn the key
and look like you just drove out of the 60's then this could be the
car for you. Don't let that flat Black paint fool you into thinking
it is a Rat Rod because despite having that vintage Hot Rod feel
everything was extremely well done. Since being completed the car
has only been driven 700 miles to break in the motor and work out
any kinks so by purchasing it you are getting a freshly built car.
The Outlaw body and chassis are all in great shape with no issues.
Outlaw is one of the top manufacturers for these bodies and have a
great reputation. The body has been reinforced with steel and
painted in Flat Black catalyzed enamel. Custom 34 graphics were
hand painted on the side to have a faded sign lettering look which
suits the car well along with the custom vintage correct
pinstriping. The 3 piece hood incorporates custom louvers that have
also been striped as well. The car has the "California" Pete and
Jake front/rear bumpers which fit with the overall look perfectly.
The body has been shaved of any handles so remote door poppers are
now used to gain access to the interior through the suicide doors.
1938 Ford LED taillights have been added in the rear with circle
combination headlights with turn signals up front. It also features
a custom front grill. The car has a great stance and rides around
on reverse chrome wheels with baby moon hub caps which again are
perfect for this type of car. This wasn't a car that was just
thrown together with random parts. Every piece was thought out and
put in place as a shout out back to the 60's when Hot Rodders were
building these custom Fords. Powering the car is a brand new class
1 Jasper built 350 Chevy motor paired with a Turbo 350 transmission
with remote oil cooler. The engine is still in the break in period
and even has a 3 year/100,000 mile warranty. The motor has been
built up with a powder coated Edelbrock intake, a 600 cfm
carburetor, HEI distributor, Weiand valve covers, chrome
alternator, and chrome AC compressor. The motor runs very well with
no issues. The engine compartment has a great look with a custom
engine turned firewall and vintage auto decals. In back the car has
a Ford 8" rear end with 3:55 ring and pinion. Other nice
drivetrain/suspension features include the Flowmaster mufflers, a
front sway bar, front disc brakes, 4" drop straight axle, hidden
battery cut off switch, and remote battery terminals. The interior
is done in a very nice Red upholstery and is all tuck and roll. A
custom center console was built for the car and provides additional
storage space while housing the Lokar shifter, AC controls, and
power window switches. It also has an overhead console which is
where you will find the Pioneer AM/FM/CD player. The split bench
seat is very comfortable and 3 point seat belts were installed
which is a nice safety feature you don't see in most street rods.
The dash features a custom "Muroc" instrument panel with Stewart
Warner gauges. Muroc refers to the old Muroc dry lake that was a
popular spot for racing back in the day and is where the engine
turned bezels started to become a popular look. Other vintage hot
rodders will pick up on a lot of these features and instantly know
the owner wasn't just copying the look out of a catalogue but
recreating the cars he had in the past. In front of the driver is a
chrome tilt column topped off with a Banjo steering wheel. The
trunk of the car has been upholstered just as well and features a
custom built/painted to match battery box. This is a great
running/driving car that also has a look that gets a lot of
appreciation at shows. If you could somehow transport it back to
the 60's it would fit right in. Plus, the car is basically brand
new so take advantage of someone else's hard work and time. You
couldn't build the car for o
