SALE PENDING to California!! This is a true California "Black
Plate" rust free and well restored 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible.
It has been restored to be a wonderful touring car while being nice
enough to show at regional events. This has been restored and
maintained by Pedro Meyer in San Diego who was responsible for one
of the nicest collections of collector cars in Southern California.
We love the original Ivy Green exterior paint (Code R) with the
white convertible top. The paint is in very nice condition with
some body prep issues that are only noticeable upon close
examination. This Mustang was exhibited at the La Jolla Concours in
2015, attesting to the condition of the cosmetics. The chrome and
stainless trim are in very nice condition. Rally style fog lights
have been added along with Rally wheels, which really make it look
sporty and sharp! The interior is simply gorgeous. It is all redone
in the original Ivy Gold (Code 28) and looks perfect with the Ivy
Green exterior. All of the work done looks to be top quality. The
restoration added some modern touches, such as a modern vintage
looking stereo, discreetly added stereo speakers, LED lighting for
the interior, etc. The stainless steel center console, 3-spoke
steering wheel and the optional Rally Pac tachometer and clock look
fantastic! The convertible top is not power operated, and folds
down in a matter of seconds. This is classic Mustang!! The drive
train is excellent as this was meant to be a car that could be used
weekly as a dependable and enjoyable car to own! It features the
original 289 V8 with the 2-barrel carburetor, conservatively
putting out 200 HP and good fuel economy. It was originally
restored with its original 4-speed manual transmission, but its
owner suffered a physical challenge and asked for a C4 automatic to
be fitted in its place. The four speed is available if the new
owner would like to retain it. The braking has been upgraded with
front disc brakes and a dual power master cylinder. This Mustang
was built at the Dearborn Michigan assembly plant on October 13th,
1965. It comes with a complete appraisal, original owners manual
and many restoration receipts. If you're looking for a gorgeous and
excellent driving 1965 Mustang convertible, look no further. This
is a rare find with this specification and quality. Well, unless
you're looking for a trailer queen or a beater! For more
