For Sale: 1958 Chevrolet 3100 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

It's no secret that Chevrolet builds some of the most celebrated trucks on the planet. From the AK era forward, every generation has found a solid following and, eventually, firm footing in the collector car world. Over the past few years, we've featured plenty of vintage, ground-pounding bowties, and this sleek '58 resto-mod is just the latest in a series of sweet Task Force head turners. Mixing a smooth LS3 with a modern GM 4-speed, and slick street rod aesthetics that'll park well at any show, this road-ready warrior is simply fantastic! If you're shopping for a choice collectable that mixes wondrous detailing with purposeful simplicity, take a close look at this slick 3100.

SIMPLY CLEAN

Fully sorted and ready to roll, this super cool pickup is the beneficiary of a comprehensive, ground-up restoration that's set off by glossy red 2-stage. Under that high-quality pigment, an incredibly straight fuselage mixes solid panels with tasteful customization. That lovingly massaged profile features better-than-factory alignment that's seated in even planes and tight gaps. And it all adds up to one head-turning, blue-collar classic that virtually radiates kustom, no-collar style!

Naturally, this Chevy's ground-up rebuild included a roster of subtle modifications. At the front of the truck's body, a familiar chrome grille hangs clear parking lamps between a polished bumper and modern, stainless-trimmed headlights. Behind that faade, a nosed hood leads the eye to polished stainless wipers, which clear a crisp greenhouse that's finished with 1-piece, power-operated side glass. That glass splits a handsome profile that's characterized by shaved emblems, shaved mirrors, shaved drip rails and custom fender steps that are fashioned around square exhaust outlets. Between those steps, polished stainless secures an airy wood bed. And that bed rides pretty above a custom roll pan and polished LED taillights.

SERIOUISLY GOOD

Check this Chevy's body-matched engine bay and you'll find 6.2 liters of hot LS small block that creates a solid 480 horsepower. Behind that mill, a smooth 4L60E 4-speed twists an 9-inch Ford axle that's stuffed with a posi-traction differential and big, 3.73 gears. Those cogs drive a full No Limit Engineering suspension that, with the help of adjustable RideTech bags, aligns an independent front-half with a 4-link rear-clip. Torque is steered through power rack-and-pinion steering. Quick stops are a cinch thanks to a quartet of power-assisted discs. Factory GM manifolds push exhaust through custom pipes that are formed around throaty Magnaflow mufflers. And at the corners of the chassis, bold Detroit Steel Artilleries twist 275/40ZR20 Nitto NT555s in front of 305/35ZR20 Nitto NT555s.

DECIDEDLY STYLISH

When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a stylish custom cockpit that's laced with plush leather surfacing. Top dead center, cushy bucket seats are a great place to take in the sights. In front of those seats, a matte dash founds detailed telemetry in a polished bezel. At the base of that dash, a custom, leather-wrapped console centers modern air conditioning in front of a proven Lokar shifter. Bluetooth-capable Pioneer audio jolts integrated Pioneer speakers. And in front of the driver, a color-keyed Billet Specialties steering wheel laps a color-keyed, tilting column.

Perpetually cool and visually stunning, this awesome Chevy is a classic example of the skill and creativity that defines our hobby. Backing great presence with excellent restoration, it presents the rare opportunity to land a well-done showstopper that doubles as a well-done road warrior. Don't miss your chance to own this sweet Task Force!
