The 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra R is the culmination of all that Ford
learned from building fox bodies since 1979. It was the crown jewel
of Fox Bodies at the time. This Cobra R is #73 of 107 made and is
original with no dealer prep. It's a two-owner car with 589 actual
miles (mileage not indicated on title). It even has the original
grease marks and stickers. This performance-bred Mustang as
delivered by Ford is powered by a high-performance 5.0-liter V8
engine and 5-speed manual transmission. The R Competition Package
includes aluminum wheels, power disc brakes, upgraded performance
suspension, aluminum radiator, auxiliary engine cooler and power
steering cooler. Other features include a sport-tuned dual exhaust
and power rack & pinion steering, radio delete, back seat delete
and air conditioning delete for weight savings. It includes factory
documentation, Window Sticker and original battery. A professional
race car license was required to purchase these vehicles when new.
This car was used by Ford in the promotional photos for the 2000
Cobra R year and won a First Place Award at the Mustang Club of
Central Iowa event in 2010.
