Vehicle Description
This outstanding 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 pickup is truly
remarkable in every sense of the word. This vehicle was used on a
Guatemalan coffee plantation for a large part of its life. It was
painstakingly restored to show-quality standards throughout and
then imported to the U.S. Everything on this vehicle was restored
or replaced. It has 565 test miles since completion. The exterior
was treated to a beautiful red paint job complemented by a
white-painted roof, cream-painted front grille and gray front
bumper. Some exterior appointments include dual mirrors, HELLA
headlights and tow hooks. It has a new front windshield and all the
remaining glass is in great condition. The new tan canvas top is
supported with a metal structure. Inside the rear bed was painted
as beautiful as the exterior. It sits on seldom-seen 16" spilt-rim
wheels wrapped with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 31.5x10" 50R16 tires.
It's equipped with a matching spare wheel and tire located under
the bed. The interior is simply stunning, with beautiful color
contrast. The dash and doors were painted red. The headliner and
sun visors are white. The gauge bezel, glove box door, seats and
floors are gray. The split-bench vinyl seats were fully restored
and include seatbelts. During the restoration, a modern Senden air
conditioning system was added for comfort. It's equipped with
factory power steering for easy maneuverability. The painted engine
compartment is highly detailed, including all the factory stickers.
It's powered by a 2F 4.2-liter 6-cylinder engine that is rated from
the factory with 135hp. The engine was completely rebuilt and runs
excellent. It's equipped with a Rally carburetor and correct
dry-type air cleaner. The battery has a power disconnect for
storage. The engine is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission
that was also completely rebuilt. The 4-wheel drive system was also
completely rebuilt and it's equipped with AISIN hubs. The
undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout. The floors were
painted with textured red paint for durability. It was upgraded
with a 1983 Land Cruiser third-member. The suspension was given a
1.5" lift, including Old Man EMU shocks, springs and shackles. It's
equipped with 1975-79 Land Cruiser power brakes with front disc and
rear drum setup. This is a wonderful example of a Toyota Land
Cruiser FJ45 4x4 pickup that is ready to enjoy.
