Vehicle Description
This CJ7 underwent a complete frame-off restoration. The "C" box
frame was coated inside and outside with rust-preventative paint.
No expense was spared for modern-day performance and reliability.
This CJ is powered by a 5.7-liter LT1 engine coupled with an NV2500
5-speed manual transmission. The Dana transfer case utilizing
advanced adapters was kept to retain the Jeep's iconic 4-wheel
drive, and keep it operational to the Dana 4:10 front and rear. The
engine came out of a fleet-maintained police car and was
well-maintained. The body is gel-coated fiberglass with metal
reinforced door hinges, firewall, body mounts and roll bar mounts.
It's also fitted with a one-piece tilt front end, and new bumpers
with front bumper thumper outfitted with PIAA fog lights. The rear
bumper is outfitted with an oversized swing-away tire carrier. The
body sits comfortably on a Skyjacker reverse 2" suspension lift and
steering stabilizer, along with American Racing rims on BFGoodrich
33x10.5" tires. A Painless wiring harness with self-grounding
option was installed to solve the old wiring issues. A custom
2-1/2" stainless exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers was installed,
along with performance upgraded brakes to help stopping power. The
front and rear bumpers and side steps were powder-coated for
durability. The Jeep sports a complete new interior with custom
AutoMeter gauges, and turn signals clean up the dash nicely. It
also features Bestop neoprene heated seats and a custom large
center console. A custom accessory block was mounted through the
firewall on the passenger side glove box for all future accessory
hookups. CARFAX shows Connecticut Motor Vehicle Dept. 08/08/1996:
