Vehicle Description
This classic 1969 Dodge A100 V8 custom pickup is a real-life "Hot
Wheels." The Dodge A100 is a range of American compact vans and
trucks manufactured from 1964-70 by the Chrysler Corporation. The
A100 competed with the Ford Econoline and Chevrolet Corvair
pickups. Placing the driver on top of the front axle with the
engine near the front wheels is called a "cab-over" vehicle. As the
VIN indicates, this is a 1969 Dodge A100 Pickup with an 8-cylinder
engine that was built at the Warren, MI, plant. Only 2,235 were
built with the 8-cylinder engine, which makes this a special piece.
This pickup was completely restored in 2012. The body is extremely
straight and has a high show-quality paint job. The yellow and
orange paint scheme was brilliantly designed. The orange side
stripe fades with flames and the rear Mopar bumblebee stripe with
A100 logo looks amazing. It sports a beautiful chrome grille, dual
mirrors and "Hot Wheels" emblems. It has a new front windshield,
and all the remaining glass is in great condition. It has a great
stance on the REV 15" wheels with BFGoodrich Radial T/A 225-70-15
tires. The bed was professionally Rhino-lined, which gives the
colors contrast. The restored yellow and black interior really
complements the exterior. It sports a rearview mirror, Sport Comp
oil and volt gauges, Budnik Dragon 15.5" steering wheel, bucket
seats with seatbelts and battery with custom cover. The heat and
emergency brake are in working order. It's powered by the factory
318ci V8 engine that was factory-rated with 210hp. The engine
compartment was restored and shows well. The engine is concealed
with a cover that removes very easily for accessibility, and
breathes through a custom dual exhaust system with chrome tips. The
engine runs and sounds great, and is coupled to a 3-speed manual
column-shift transmission. The transmission was rebuilt and shifts
very smoothly. The undercarriage is very clean and presentable. The
original owner's manual is included. This Dodge A100 is a serious
attention magnet and a blast to dive. This vehicle has recently
been serviced and detailed, which is documented with an invoice
that is included.
