Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL !! - VERY RARE !! - PAMPERED SURVIVOR !! 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible !! It is VERY RARE as only 14,865 Super Beetle Convertibles were built in 1972 and only 8,471 were sold in the United States !! We recently purchased this Beetle from the previous older local Idaho owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video it is his pride and joy !! It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash mounted VIN tag and the - FACTORY ORIGINAL - front trunk support mounted data plate, both of which are shown in the pictures. I drove this car for the last several days as my daily driver and I assure you it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a sweet driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and smoothly. At the heart of this Super Beetle is the STRONG - Code "H5" - 1500 CC Air Cooled Single Port Flat 4 cylinder motor that is running VERY well. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL Style exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL Style carburetor and the ORIGINAL Style air cleaner housing, etc. Sounds GREAT too with the factory style dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - four speed manual gearbox / transaxle that also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - ALL ORIGINAL - Black Vinyl full bucket seat Super Beetle interior is in VERY NICE condition including NICE ORIGINAL Black Vinyl full front bucket seats, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Volkswagen steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Matching Black Vinyl door panels, NICE ORIGINAL Charcoal carpets, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black Vinyl rear bench seat, NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge cluster, VERY NICE ORIGINAL White Vinyl sun visors and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black Vinyl dash pad with a few small cracks. The BRAND NEW !! - Black Haartz Canvas convertible top is also in VERY NICE condition and sports a matching Black Vinyl boot cover. All of the black rubber weatherstripping is still soft, supple and in good condition. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME - 15 inch chrome wheels with correct VW center caps wrapped in GOOD steel belted radial tires, they look OUTSTANDING on this Bug and really retains that CLEAN - CUSTOM look !! All of the ORIGINAL Chrome and Stainless Steel exterior body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Badging, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome Front and Rear bumpers and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black rubber front and rear bumper guards. The CLEAN - SOLID front trunk also sports a full size spare tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I looked underneath and also included photos, again this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle and it shows !! In my opinion you're not going to find much nicer SOLID pans / floors than the ones that are on this car !!
