As Nissan was approaching its 50th anniversary in 1984, it did what
manufacturers often do - took its most potent model and added more
tech and more power. The result was the 300ZX Turbo 50th
Anniversary Edition, all of which came equipped with a futuristic
digital dash and ancillary gauges, including average mileage,
G-force, and compass readouts. In addition, there were electronic
adjustable shocks, cruise and radio controls in the steering wheel,
and 50th Anniversary Edition logos everywhere. The only option
available was a choice between an automatic or five-speed manual
transmission. Just over 5,000 Anniversary Edition models were
produced for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
This 50th Anniversary Edition was specified with the automatic
transmission, possibly easier for the driver with so many
electronic controls to focus on. Delivered new to the U.S., it
remained there until 2007 when it was imported to the United Arab
Emirates, according to a CARFAX report on file. Ten years later, it
was exported to Switzerland by the current owner. Alongside the
Shiro Special, the 50th Anniversary Edition models remains amongst
the most desirable iterations of the Z31-generation 300ZXs, forward
looking toward Nissan's bright future.

Autohersteller in solchen F�llen oft tun, sie nahm das st�rkste
Modell der Palette und gab ihm mehr Technik und noch mehr Leistung.
Das Ergebnis war der Nissan 300ZX Turbo 50th Anniversary Edition.
Das futuristisch anmutende Cockpit verf�gte �ber eine Reihe von
Zusatzinstrumenten mit Anzeigen f�r Durchschnittsverbrauch,
G-Kr�fte oder Kompass. Dar�ber hinaus gab es einstellbare D�mpfer,
einen Tempomaten, eine Radiofernbedienung am Lenkrad sowie 50th
Anniversary Logos �berall. Zur Wahl standen nur eine Automatik oder
ein F�nfgang-Handschaltgetriebe. Insgesamt wurden etwas mehr als
5.000 Anniversary Editions gebaut und in die USA und Kanada
geliefert.
Diese 50th Anniversary Edition wurde mit der Automatik geordert,
wahrscheinlich keine schlechte Entscheidung, so konnte der Fahrer
sich auf die vielen Anzeigen konzentrieren. Neu ausgeliefert in den
USA, belegt das Carfax, dass dieser 300ZX 2007 aus den USA in die
Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate exportiert wurde. Zehn Jahre sp�ter
kam er in die Schweiz mit dem heutigen Besitzer. Neben dem Shiro
Special geh�rt die 50th Anniversary Edition zu den gesuchtesten
Versionen der Generation Z31 des 300ZX.
