The Daimler Super Eight, based on Jaguar's X350 platform, bridged
the traditional and modern eras of the marque. The retro styling
hid 21st century technology: the body was an all-aluminium unitary
construction, and other features included sound-reducing glass. The
supercharged 4.2-litre V-8 was mated to a six-speed auto
gearbox.
It was the final production model to be built at Browns Lane and
the last Daimler model that will ever be made, making this rare
example a future classic. The British government and UK Royal
Household are among the small number of buyers: total production
over five years was 731 cars.
This example was ordered in Red Effect with contrasting ivory
leather interior and caramel piping. Also specified were chrome
Portfolio side vents, 20" Alloy Wheels, lamb's wool carpets,
boxwood inlays, an electric rear sunblind, electric front and rear
seats, touch-screen centre control unit, four-zone climate control,
sat nav and TV screens in the headrests.
Delivered new to Belgium in November 2007, according to documents
that accompany the sale, the car remained there until at least
2011, when it moved to Germany. It was purchased by the current
owner and imported to Switzerland in 2016. Today, car displays just
39,846 km from new at the time of cataloguing and remains in
excellent condition throughout. For someone looking for a rare yet
luxurious luxury sedan with pedigree, look no further.

Der Daimler Super Eight auf der X350 Plattform verband die
historische Vergangenheit der Marke mit der modernen �ra. Unter dem
Retrostyling verbarg sich Technik des 21. Jahrhunderts: die
Karosserie bestand komplett aus Alumimium, und eines der besonderen
Features war zum Beispiel ger�uschd�mmendes Glas. Der aufgeladene
4,2-Liter V8 war mit einer Sechsgangautomatik verbunden.
Der Super Eight war das letzte im alten Werk Browns Lane gefertigte
Serienmodell und der letzte jemals gebaute Daimler, was diesen
Daimler zu einem gesuchten Exemplar macht. Zu der kleinen Zahl von
K�ufern z�hlten die britische Regierung und das britische
K�nigshaus: im Laufe von f�nf Jahren wurden 731 Fahrzeuge
gebaut.
Dieses Exemplar wurde in Red Effect mit Leder in ivory und einem
Keder in karamel geordert. Besondere Extras sind seitliche
verchromte Lufteinl�sse, 20-Zoll Alur�der, Lammwollteppiche,
Holzeinlagen aus Buchsbaum, eine elektrische Heckjalousie,
elektrisch bet�tigte Sitze vorn und hinten, ein zentraler
Touchscreen, Vierzonen-Klimaanlage, Navi sowie Bildschirme in den
R�ckseiten der vorderen Kopfst�zen.
Dieses den beigef�gten Dokumenten zufolge 2007 neu in Belgien
ausgelieferte Exemplar blieb dort bis 2011 und kam dann nach
Deutschland. Der heutige Besitzer hat es dort 2016 gekauft und in
die Schweiz importiert. Zum Zeitpunkt der Drucklegung zeigte der
Tacho gerade einmal 39.846 km an, und das Fahrzeug befindet sich in
einem exzellenten Zustand. Wer eine seltene, aber luxuri�se
