Vehicle Description
This is a classy, hot rod woody. Many great features, ready to
impress.
EXTERIOR: Very unique and classy. A chopped woody, doesn't get much
more classic hot rod then that. The chop was done so well it looks
like Ford made it that way. The metal is real straight and has
beautiful paint. It has a little extra dose of flake and the
clearcoat is polished smooth and glossy. Up front all of the chrome
including the grill, headlight bezels, bumper have all been redone.
In back it was simplified by removing the spare tire and original
taillights. Tear drop lights and a flush gas cap were installed,
licenseplate was countersunk. The tailgate functions as it did
originally. Beautiful real wood, two different contrasting colors
and wood grains. Door handles were eliminated and pop open with a
button. All new smoked glass, it's not a stick on tint. Rear
windows still slide open. Reproduction 15 inch Kelsey Hayes style
wire wheels with spinner hubcaps and a set of fat white wall BFG
radial tires really class it up.
INTERIOR: What's better than bucket seats? 4 bucket seats! It has a
full length custom console that goes front to back. Four bucket
seats out of a 68 Chevelle have been completely recushioned and
reupholstered, the door panels were redone to match. Headliner is
redone in a nice fabric, the visors too. Carpeting was very nicely
installed front to back. All the interior metal is painted to match
the outside. Custom gauges were neatly placed in the factory holes
including a tachometer. The tilt steering column has a beautiful
banjo wheel. The console was made from the same wood as the
outside. It is home to a CD stereo, power window switches, air
conditioning vents and a compartment. There are seatbelts for
everyone. Overall inside this car is exceptionally nice, the fit
and finishes are very impressive. I noticed an updated fuse block
under the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has something I have not seen before, a
custom made stainless cover. It looks cool. Someone spent some time
fabricating it and it is easily removable. Under the shroud is a
clean motor compartment. It is powered by a Vortec 350 motor.
Upgraded with aluminum intake, Holley carb and HEI ignition. New
heat and air conditioning system is neatly installed. An aluminum
radiator with auxiliary electric fan keeps it running cool. There
is a new power brake system. It is very proper, all the components
are installed neatly, wiring, nuts and bolts all look good. All the
finishes are smooth and shiny.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for a thorough restoration of
the underneath. Many nice improvements were made to make it a great
driver too. Up front it has a new custom suspension and steering
unit, looks like a Heidts. It includes power rack & pinion
steering, independent suspension with tubular control arms, disc
brakes and new shocks. Bottom of the motor is clean, starter,
flywheel cover look new. Has Turbo 350 trans, it also looks fresh.
In back it has 10 bolt rear end, leaf springs, drum brakes and new
shocks. E-brake is hooked up, brake lines and hoses were replaced.
Fuel tank was replaced. Has dual exhaust all they to the back.
Floors appear really clean, painted maroon. The frame is clean,
painted black.
It is classy, unique and a very comfortable car. Someone could
really enjoy this car, actually 4 someone's. Room for 4 adults and
a cooler, lawnchairs. Sorry no surfboard!
