classic and muscle car business. By 1955 Ford's F-100 was in its
3rd year of production and had just received the new grille
treatment that would ensure classic status for decades to come. As
these older trucks continue to appreciate, it's becoming more
difficult to find a daily driver that's not either a basket case or
an over-restored trailer queen. Well, our 1955 F-100 should fall
right in someone's sweet spot, with paint that's less-than-perfect,
but upgraded mechanicals that ensure a comfortable and safe ride.
Under the tilt hood (you can reach everything!) is a torque-laden
Ford 460 big block that's been fortified with an Edelbrock
Streetmaster 460 aluminum intake manifold, Holley electronic fuel
injection, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Comfort
and convenience items include power steering, power front disc
brakes, Vintage Air air conditioning, front clip with independent
suspension, C6 automatic transmission, an Ididit tilt steering
column, VDO gauges, billet window cranks and door handles, and a
newer stereo with Bluetooth capability. Rolling stock consists of
American Racing wheels wrapped in Nitto 245/40ZR18 tires, front and
