Feast your eyes on this beautifully restored 1967 Ford Fairlane 500. California car originally purchased in Southern California, current owner bought it in 2002 after a complete restoration including motor and tranny rebuild. Several months after new paint, the Holly carb caught fire. Nothing behind the firewall was damaged, but insurance called this a total loss, the car has a salvage title because of that.
Exterior: Repainted factory clearwater aqua metallic. No dings or dents. There are a few minor scratches or imperfections that have been touched up. Body is straight. Chrome and brightwork are all there. Reproduction chromed styled steel wheels have correct Fairlane center caps. Car has original black license plates.
Interior: Seats have been reupholstered with factory fabric. Under dash gauge set and newer stereo radio. Car came with air conditioning but the compressor was not replaced after engine fire.
Motor and Driveline: Original 289 motor and C4 transmission have been rebuilt. The car came equipped with a two-barrel, but it now has an Edelbrock Performer four barrel carb, Pertronix ignition. Single exhaust with larger 2¾ pipe and Flowmaster muffler.
