THIS CAR WAS ORIGINALLY BUILT IN THE 90'S AND DRIVEN FOR A WHILE UNTIL PURCHASED IN 2012 AS A ROLLER (WITH NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION) BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. PREVIOUS OWNER PURCHASED A PERIOD CORRECT 1966 427 SIDE OILER ENGINE AND HAD IT COMPLETELY PROFESSIONALLY BUILT IN 2013 BY THE RENOWNED BUILDER / RACER KURT NEIGHBOR OF MACEDONIA, OHIO. ENGINE IS A PERIOD CORRECT 427 SIDEOILER (AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE BELOW PHOTOS OF THE ENGINE BUILD) WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN USED IN A 1966 SHELBY. ENGINE HAS AN ERA CORRECT 2X4 DUAL QUAD ALUMINUM FORD INTAKE (CASTING #C5AE-9425-E) WITH 2 550 CFM HOLLEY CARBS. ENGINE HAS WISECO 10.5:1 PISTONS PUNCHED .017 OVER TO 4.250 ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL HIGH PERFORMANCE CRANK AND RODS. THE ENGINE HAS A NICE LUMPY COMP CAM (#33-000-50) (SEE CAM CARD BELOW) AS WELL AS MANLEY STAINLESS STEEL VALVES. ENGINE RUNS 10W40 SYNTHETIC OIL. ENGINE RUNS AMAZINGLY STRONG ON PUMP GAS AND WILL SURELY PIN YOU BACK IN YOUR SEAT! ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION CURRENTLY HAVE UNDER 500 MILES ON THEM WHILE THE ENTIRE CAR HAS UNDER 7,000 TOTAL MILES.
POWER FOR THIS BEAST IS TRANSMITTED BACK BY A 4 SPEED FORD TOPLOADER TRANSMISSION WITH A HYDRAULIC CLUTCH WHICH WAS ALSO BUILT IN 2013 BY KURT NEIGHBOR AT THE SAME TIME AS THE ENGINE.
OUT BACK IS A FULLY INDEPENDENT JAGUAR REAR END WITH DISC BRAKES. THE REAR HAS 4 FULLY ADJUSTABLE ALUMINUM COIL OVER SHOCKS WHICH ARE FULLY ADJUSTABLE WHERE YOU CAN DIAL THIS BEAST IN PERFECTLY!
