Vehicle Description
Don Yenko created some of the most legendary GM performance cars of
all time. Though this Nova isn't a real Yenko, the lengths that
were gone to in order to replicate the Yenko look is proof enough
of the impact the Don Yenko and his cars made on automotive
society. No, this will not ever truly be a Yenko car, but the
general spirit is there and it certainly makes for interesting
conversation!
Yenko attributes aside, this 1969 Nova is a nice old car with lots
of good things going for it! The exterior is just about as straight
as can be, painted in the ever-classic Butternut Yellow. The black
stripes really look great against the yellow! This car is sure to
draw a crowd, but subtle enough to mind your business if you want
to. It has a cowl hood and is sitting on a set of Torque Thrust
wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle rubber.
Under the hood is a Chevrolet 350 V8, a hot rod classic ideal for
cheap and reliable power. Upgrades include angle plug heads, an
aluminum intake manifold, a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and of
course, headers. Let the Tremec 5-speed transmission turn that
frown upside down to the tune of the dual exhaust! That's right,
someone installed a Tremec 5-speed manual for maximum cruising
capability. Additionally, there are many chrome accent items as
well as Chevrolet script valve covers. The underside of the car is
clean and solid, revealing only good metal and 4-wheel disc brakes.
Other mechanical features include power steering and a Posi-Trac
rear end.
Step inside and you'll notice the glass has been tinted for your
comfort and convenience. One of the most noticeable attributes is
the Ididit steering column complete with tilt. This column looks
nice and is a quality replacement unit for this car. The soft goods
including the seat covers are all nearly immaculate and in
excellent condition. There are few disappointments to be found
inside this car! It has an Autometer tach, full gauges, and radio &
heater delete plates.
If you're looking for a fun, unique little muscle car that is sure
to be a conversation starter then this is the car for you! It is
fast, well-appointed, and has just about everything you could want
in a fun weekend car. This puppy is an attractive turn-key cruiser
that is ready for a new home!
