GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this, 1967 Chevrolet II Nova
SS for consideration. Chevrolets compact car, the Corvair, did not
live up to its expectations, GM's void in the compact car market
need to be filled, the rushed to production the Chevy II to fill
the void. The cars top trim level would take on the Nova nameplate
and was built with a more traditional and proven format. Front
engine, and number of different power plant options from economy to
high performance.
The car offered here is a true SS powered by a 283 V8, automatic
transmission and rear wheel drive. The car has been the recipient
of a ground up style restoration and finished in Burgundy Metallic
exterior paint over Black SS interior trim. Highlights include: 3
spoke SS steering wheel, center console, bucket seats, original
gauges, factory correct new seat upholstery, new carpet, new door
panels, upgraded radio, upgraded front disc brakes, American Racing
Torque Thrust polished aluminum wheels, SS exterior trim, factory
spare and jack, etc. The paint is gorgeous, the body panel fit is
excellent, the bright-work is wonderful and the car has a stunning
stance.
Mechanically, the car starts right up, pulls strong, tracks
straight and is a proven driver.
First Generation Chevrolet Nova's remain extremely popular in
collector car circles. Many were produced, however the survival
rate was low. For this reason, quality examples as the one offered
here are few and far between.
