1962 DODGE DART 4 door sedan
If you want a car you'll enjoy driving, this is it. Rarely will you see one of these on the road or at a show. In fact, she won trophies in NY and Florida. This beautiful car is very clean and the paint looks even better in person. This Dart 440 originated in California and had been painted in the unique red with white top by the previous owner. I have had it since September 2005.
In 1962, the Dart 440 name applied to increase in the trim of the car with additional standard items, upgraded exterior chrome trim, custom interior upholstery and accoutrements, and back-up lighting, along with the 8-cylinder engines.
The interior has been redone in white, with rolled and pleated seat covers, new carpeting, headliner, and a stereo with subwoofer.
In the Spring of 2015, the original 318 cu.in. Poly engine was rebuilt by RAM Racing Engines in Lynchburg, Virginia. An original four-barrel manifold, carburetor and electronic ignition were added. The engine achieved over 300 hp on the dyno. 1800 miles currently on the rebuilt engine and drivetrain.
At the same time, the entire drivetrain including the transmission, rear end, fuel system, and front suspension were removed. The engine compartment was refurbished and painted. The front suspension was completely rebuilt, and front disc brakes installed. The original 727 Torqueflite Transmission was rebuilt and the rear-end was reconditioned. Dual exhaust with TTI headers were installed.
It is always garaged and covered up. Car cover is included.
She runs so well, I will drive this car anywhere. In fact, if the price is right, I will drive and deliver her to you.
