The 1967 911S cars were the first to have the extra horsepower,
which was increased from 130HP to 160HP. This was a unique
transition year for Porsche and as a result, one of the unique 911s
was produced. The 1967 S had one of the lightest chassis as well as
a 2.0-liter "S" engine derived directly from its race program. This
combination produced a true sport purpose car.
This example is one of those 911S's that has always been cherished
and enjoyed. The owner spared no expense having European
Collectibles perform a restoration on this 911 in 2013 to 2014
including paint, chrome, refinishing the wheels, rebuilt
transmission, rebuilt suspension and braking system, complete
undercarriage detail and new interior! It is in perfect condition.
The car is extremely dry and straight with no signs of any rust or
misuse. The interior is in perfect condition with correct factory
sport seats with houndstooth inserts! All the gauges including the
clock are original and have been restored.
Options include gas heater, the Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, factory flat
4 1/2" Fuchs which were one year only sporting VREDESTEIN Sprint
Classic 165 HR 15 tires. Wooden steering wheel with deluxe horn
ring and seat belts.
The best part is the way this 911 S drives. It is pure Porsche.
There is nothing like the way these short wheelbase with the short
stroke early motors free rev. The 2.0-Liter runs perfectly.
Shifting is precise and very smooth. It is one of the better
feeling 901 style transmissions we've experienced. The steering is
very light and responsive with no pulling or other alignment
issues. The brakes have been completely rebuilt along with the
suspension. This would be the ideal 911 for vintage touring
events.
Complete with the original owner's manual, restoration receipts,
Certificate of Authenticity, spare wheel/tire, and tools.
