The Volkswagen Transporter Crew Cab has always had a magnificently loyal following, even within the already tight-knit Volkswagen community, and this one is a testament as to why: personality. A comprehensive restoration was finished in 2016 employing an extensive amount of new metal to bring the vehicle to a higher level of finish. The dedication paid off as it emerged in meticulous condition with an excruciating number of details raising the bar. Finisher in two-tone blue over silver, the colors are separated by a polished trim with red-stripe detailing that flows thru the famous "V" nose treatment. New carpeting, seats and headliner with seat belts finish off the interior. A fabulously detailed engine bay has a 1776cc engine with dual carbs. Detailed to match the color of the crew cab, the engine is mated to a Freeway Flyer transmission, which results in a higher-than-average cruising speed. Independent Rear Suspension, combined with 4 wheel disc brakes on a stance that has been dropped and narrowed with 15 inch wheels and tires set the look. Safari windows along with swing out back windows ensure plenty of fresh air. The bed floor has been polished, painted and adorned with finished wooden strips. The fold down cargo doors are new and in perfect condition. During the total restoration, the frame has been powder coated to ensure years of protection. Always garaged, never driven in the wet conditions or rain.
There are around 1,800 miles on the Crew Cab since restoration and is available now for sale. Title in hand!
