1972 GMC 2500 Custom 4x4 Regular Cab Long Box
Garage Kept Motors is pleased to offer this fully restored classic,
rust-free 4x4 GMC Pickup for consideration. This truck was
originally used by the Hastings Fire Department, always stored
indoors. In the past three years, it has undergone a full cosmetic
and mechanical restoration with many new components and low miles
since the rebuild. This GMC has been tastefully and professionally
modified, and is offered turn-key ready for its new owner to
enjoy.
The truck is freshly finished in Camaro Orange, completed in 2017.
Box bed was professionally Line-X coated too. The interior has a
rebuilt bench seat with black vinyl and 3 lap seat belts, new dash
pad, new Pioneer stereo, Slab shifter, and Cobalt tachometer. The
truck is powered by a 454ci/400hp V8, professionally rebuilt by G &
G Performance Motors in 2016, mated to a rebuilt 350 Turbo
Transmission. The motor and firewall were set back 6 inches to
accommodate the big block. It has a 8-inch lift with new body
blockers and 12-volt rear axle lift. Other noteworthy features
include an RV Cam, Roller Rockers, Headers, Programmable MSD
Ignition, Griffin Dual Fan Radiator, 5.14 Gears with Lockers, MT
Aluminum Wheels with LT 365/65 R16 rubber, and upgraded suspension.
If desired, the truck does come with original parts: front and rear
gears, 4-speed transmission, bell housing, clutch, pressure plate,
brake calipers, defroster cage, and radiator shroud.
It would be a tall order to source and build a truck this nice,
with these components. It is an awesome vehicle that has clearly
been treated with care. Cab corners are clean and chrome is in
excellent shape. Just serviced with new wires, plugs, and fresh oil
change. Lots of curb appeal and plenty of power when you put your
foot down. Plus you can go anywhere with the 4WD and ground
clearance. All it needs now is a new garage to call home. Be sure
