THE STORY BEHIND THIS 1953 CHEVROLET 3100 PRO-STREET PICKUP
A week or so ago, we had one of my favorite cars listed ... a..."Old School" 1932 Flathead Ford Roadster. It was the complete package with 3 2-barrel carburetors, Offenhauser Heads "Old School" wheels and a rare (for a '32 Roadster Hot Rod) 4-speed transmission. Well ... a gentleman from south Florida contacted us and wanted to add our '32 Ford to his collection and actually gave me several possibilities from his extensive collection to consider as possible trades. If you follow our business ... you already know ... that I am partial to high HP Pro-Street builds ... but you may not know ... that I am also Absolutely "In-Love"with 5-Window '47-'54 Chevy Pickups. And ... I had never seen one with a 750HP 454 Big Block Chevy..
Well ... my daughter, Loreanna and I drove to Miami to meet with the gentleman ... and, I can honestly say ... this is one of the "Most Beautiful" 5-Window builds that I have ever seen in my life! I immediately fell in love with it and ... even though is was expensive ... I had to have it.
I can't even imagine what it must have cost to build with its Fat Boy front end ... completely Custom Frame and Suspension ... incredible BBC 454 / 750HP engine ... Custom Roll Cage and specifically fabricated Interior with beautiful Racing Seats ... stunning Brand New Dark Silver & Black paint job and Flawless Body Work ... and ... its $7,500 dollar Brand New 20" Tires and "One Off" wheels.
This truck is ... GORGEOUS ... and just ... SCREAMS QUALITY! So .. I now have a very good, new collector friend in Miami ... and as I am writing this ... I can share that he and I have already done a second trade for a equally beautiful car from his extensive collection.
