A nicely done two tone paint job over a very solid, straight body
combines with a restored interior and plenty of smooth, dependable
power to make this 1949 Chevrolet 3600 a truly great score for a
lucky classic truck enthusiast.
The two-tone green and black paint is a great color scheme for this
49' featuring nice pin stripping, newly chromed hub caps, nice wood
bed and very straight original 1949 sheet metal. Upfront, the
grille and bumper have been repainted to match the body nicely and
give the truck a great look. The 5 window 3600s are highly
desirable and hard to find in this great of shape. The undercarriage
appears to be lightly restored with all new rubber and is very
original. Overall, the body is in excellent shapeand the pickup has
smoked windows.
The interior is nicely restored with a new black vinyl bench seat,
small door panels and a vinyl floor covering. The dash and inside
of the doorswere painted the same green color as the body and
really pops. Sitting inside brings you back to a time when
interiors were very minimal and did not have all the modern thrills
were used to today. Gauges include a speedometer, coolant
temperature, oil pressure and amperage gauge.
Under the hood is a factory correct original 216 cubic inch
straight six engine that runs strong and provides plenty of smooth
power to the rear wheels through the original 3 speed transmission.
The motor runs great, the transmission shifts smooth, drives
straight down the road and stops good. Overall this is a great
looking, running and driving 3100 pickup with many factory parts on
it. Car show ready and is guaranteed to get lots of compliments!
