Vehicle Description
STK 2561 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
The '67 model was the last year for the first generation Chevelle.
Styling tweaks included a new grille and large wrap-around tail
lamps yielding a longer, leaner appearance. The SS396 was now its
own unique model with additional styling enhancements, but the
Chevelle SS396 was really about performance. This '138' code
Chevelle was the recipient of an impressive restoration and is a
stunner. The Chevelle's beautiful new coat of Tuxedo Black was
professionally applied in 2009. The interior was completely
restored to original black vinyl. All the correct details are
there, right down to the Muncie 'hypodermic' shifter' and full
factory gauge package. An aftermarket tach has also been added. The
current 396ci 'Rat" is not the original motor, but the owner
believes it came from a '69 Chevelle SS. It was rebuilt and fitted
with an aluminum intake, dual-line Holley and mild cam. Backed by
4-speed manual transmission, it sounds very strong through the
free-flowing exhaust. Original 15" GM Rally wheels w/trim
rings-centers mount stout BFG Radial T/A tires. Our Chevelle is
equipped with power steering, manual SS drum brakes, front sway bar
and rear air-shocks. A new fuel tank and lines have been fitted.
Chevrolet's marketing jargon for the '67 Chevelle SS396 was simple:
"The SS396 will bring on a severe compulsion to go driving." That
statement holds true for this Chevelle. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
