For Sale at Auction: 1989 Dodge Dakota in Sandy, Utah

Vehicle Description

This 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport 4X4 Pickup Truck has the 3.9 liter Magnum V6 engine, The first American convertible pickup since the Ford Model T, it featured a fixed roll bar and an uncomplicated manual top. Roughly 2,842 were sold that first year. Production seems to have been about 2,800 in 1989, 1,000 in 1990, and only a hand full in 1991

These Dodge Dakota Convertible Pickup Trucks were only made from 1989 to 1991. Dodge had them converted from regular cab bodies by American Sunroof Corporation.

Dodge only made about 3,800 of these Dakota convertibles over the three years they were produced. Less than half of those were 4×4, and a lot of those did not have A/C, very few were produced with power windows and locks so this is one of a handful with all the options. This truck has 76,000 actual miles and 100 miles since its restoration, when the front end has been completely rebuilt. It has new shocks, the motor has been gone over adding a new head and base gasket and a custom new tonneau cover that has never seen rain, the AC blows cold, it has new 245/45ZR 20 tires and wheels. If you want to hit the road in a truck but have the top dropped, this is one of very few convertible trucks that were made at the factory!  Also, ready to drop into 4 wheel drive and hit the trails!
