For Sale: 1968 Cadillac Coupe DeVille in Seekonk, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

A thrill of a find! This gorgeous 1968 Cadillac Couple Deville is an outstanding survivor with 8,700 original miles.  This Cadillac is one of the best examples in the world of a true survivor.  It presents itself as original just like it did when it was new off the showroom floor. It has great history which is documented in multiple magazine articles.  It also has won multiple prestigious awards ranging from 1993-2014.  This 1968 Cadillac Coupe Deville Model 68-347 was sold new by Wilson-Crissman Cadillac, Inc.located in Birmingham, MI.  It was ordered in Grecian White with a Black Vinyl Top and a Black leather interior.  It was ordered with the following optional equipment: Door Guards, Front and Rear Mats, Soft Ray Glass,Leather Upholstery, Automatic Climate Control, Padded Roof, Radio, Trunk Lock,Six Way Seat Adjuster and Special Touring Tires.  The original MSRP was $6,844.45.  A copy of a reproduction window sticker is included.  The original owner’s manual is also included.   This vehicle remained down south and ended up in the Lewis Jenkins Collection in North Wilkesboro,NC.  Lewis was well-known for collecting classic Cadillacs and Buicks.  During this timeframe the car was shown with the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) and it was decorated with many awards. Some of these awards included the “Senior Award”, “National First Prize”and “Grand National Winner”.  These awards are documented by the AACA with paperwork, a plaque and three medallions that are mounted the front bumper. The car was later purchased by the Morrison Motor Company in Concord, NC and placed in there museum. The Morrison Motor Company eventually sold the car to long term customer Rick Labuda of Statesville, NC in June of 2013.  A copy of title documenting this transaction is included.  Rick is an avid classic car collector and member of the CLC (Cadillac and LaSalle Club). Rick had the car featured in the “The Self-Starter” and “Old Car”magazines which are both included.  The articles tell the story of the car and its originality with 8,000 original miles.  This car is in absolutely excellent original condition throughout. It looks like a recent restoration it’s so nice!  The exterior body is in excellent overall original condition.  The paint is 95%original and looks excellent.  The painted was tested with an electric paint meter and the only area that showed non-factory paint was a small area on the passenger fender.  There was probably a small ding or something that was blended at some point in time. Everything on the exterior such as the glass, trim, wipers, mirrors, bumpers, lights and emblems are in excellent original condition.  The tires obviously have been replaced.  The interior is also in excellent overall original condition.  The interior presents itself as an 8,000 original mile car would with virtually no wear.  Sitting in this car it feels like it did the day it was new.  Everything in the interior is in working condition including the air conditioning which blows cold.  It still retains the original Cadillac rubber floor mats which are in excellent condition.  The trunk compartment is in excellent original condition and houses the spare tire with tools.  It still retains the original stickers, felt moldings and carpeting.  The engine compartment in excellent original condition and is very detailed.  This engine compartment is nicer than most of the restored cars.  It still retains all the original parts and stickers.  When the car was serviced the original spark plug wires were replaced and the manifolds were painted.  The original spark plug wires are included.  The battery obviously has been replaced.  This car runs and drives amazing. The power steering and power brakes work excellent. The undercarriage is very clean and was undercoated at some point in time.  When the car was serviced the some suspension parts were replaced and painted like the factory pieces were prior to removal.  This is a great opportunity to purchase a car that is truly an original survivor.  As they say, there only original once.  This car has recently been serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that is included.  Where are you ever going to find another car like this one?
