It is EXTREMELY RARE as only 3,900 Delta 88 Convertibles were built in 1972 !! We recently purchased this Delta 88 Royale from the previous older Arizona owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy !! He bought the car from the ORIGINAL OWNER who bought it NEW in Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada on May 26, 1972 !! The previous owner told us the odometer reading of 82,965 miles was the ORIGINAL mileage although we have no way of proving it. It still retains it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Oldsmobile cowl mounted data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash mounted VIN tag - FACTORY ORIGINAL - trunk lid mounted jacking instruction sticker and it's - ORIGINAL - 1972 Oldsmobile owner's manual and new vehicle warranty booklets, all of which are shown in several pictures. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Canada - Arizona - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car and it shows !! At the heart of this Delta 88 is the VERY STRONG !! - REBUILT - 455 CID "Rocket" V8 motor that is running VERY well. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL Style 4 barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL Style exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL Style valve covers, ORIGINAL Style air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL Style Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor, Etc... Sounds GREAT too with the true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH !! - Three speed "Turbo Hydra-Matic" automatic transmission that also functions very well. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Oldsmobile stainless steel wheel covers and NEARLY NEW whitewall steel belted radial tires, they look OUTSTANDING on this Delta 88 and really give it that CLEAN - "FACTORY ORIGINAL" - look !! All of the ORIGINAL chrome and stainless steel exterior body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Badging, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front bumper, NICE ORIGINAL Chrome rear bumper and NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front grill and headlight surrounds. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk also sports the ORIGINAL black liner, original jack and what appears to be the ORIGINAL full size spare tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I looked underneath and also included photos, again this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Canada - Arizona - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle and it shows !!
