THE STORY BEHIND THIS '89 CADILLAC ALLANTE CONVERTIBLE
About one and a half years ago, I purchased a high quality '71 Dodge Demon (with a EXTREME 440 CI Engine and a Roll Cage) from a wonderful gentleman in South Florida named John who has now become a good friend. And ... about three months ago, I also purchased another car from John ... a "Way-Too-Cool" '36 Plymouth Coupe that we just sold. John loves Hot Rod cars and has a collection of 8-10 in his over-sized garage.
So ... a few weeks ago when he called me and stated ... he had a very good friend, Tom (who was 75 years old and had recently suffered 2 heart attacks) who wanted to sell some of his classic cars ... I ... couldn't pass up the opportunity to see what he had.
Well ... Tom and his wife turned out to be wonderful people. Their home was beautiful and the family yacht they kept moored behind their home was just incredible. AND ... wow ... was I pleased when Tom opened his garage. He was not a Hot Rod collector ... but ... rather a Low Mile Classic Car collector. I finally settled on two cars that I wanted to purchase and after a lengthy negotiation, I can now offer you this Rare, Low Mile Cadillac Allante Two-Top Convertible. Tom carefully stored his cars on lifts with Trickle Chargers attached and even had his best friend from New Jersey (who is a Master Mechanic) regularly inspect, maintain and exercise his "Precious Toys".
