Vehicle Description
Vintage Chevy aficionados . . . take a look! With its exterior
dressed in a deep, distinctive shade and looking refreshed from
head to toe, this 1965 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sedan is one vital
looking classic. It combines its genuine appearance with big block
power under the hood and a road ready running condition that's hard
to find in a car of its era.
Bel Airs were in frequent transformation during their early years,
but by the time this '65 rolled out as a member of the model's
sixth generation, they were well established as a favorite among
muscle car enthusiasts who enjoyed the spacious cabin and smooth
ride of a full size cruiser. The dark green paint it wears is a
great take on the color - it's much deeper than you normally see
and really looks sharp in person - and the collection of exterior
fittings on display are all looking very clean, from the grille
perched between the pair of twin headlights up front, to the tips
of the chrome exhaust tips peeking out just the right amount in
back. The body panel alignment looks to be very much on point - Bel
Airs of this era featured trim that literally extended from front
to back, and the trim here looks straight as a table as it runs
from front fender to door to rear quarter panel. There's also new
badging on all four sides, so this vintage Chevy really cuts a
strong appearance.
Whether by very attentive care or some well-planned freshening up
over the years, the green interior remains in its factory
configuration and really looks strong. The bench seating in both
front and back features a tuck and roll pattern on vinyl covers
that show no marked creasing as they sit over plenty of comfort
padding. The Bel Air's generous proportions translate into plenty
of interior room, so your backseat passengers can really stretch
out and get comfortable, while the white-balled shifter within easy
reach of the front seat serves as a reminder that this Chevy is
very much about vintage performance as well. The sizable original
steering wheel sits on a tilt column and the dash area just in
front of it looks very clean- the gauges are all clear and
functional and its black steel surfaces remain nice and smooth. The
spacious trunk area in back looks to be in solid shape as well.
Climb behind the wheel and you'll have plenty of power at your
disposal via the strong big block underneath the hood. Originally
sporting 396 cubic inches of displacement, it's been bored out to
add a few more and features both a 4-barrel Holley carb and an
Edelbrock intake to up its performance game.
An HEI ignition has also been added to provide the spark to take
maximum advantage of all that power. The engine has been dressed up
with a chrome air cleaner and valve covers, while the stock exhaust
manifolds remain in place to provide a nice, deep note out of the
tailpipes. The enhanced 396 pairs with a 4 speed manual
transmission to put maximum control in the driver's hands. This
iconic cruiser patrols the asphalt on a set of 15" steel wheels
with Chevy branded hubcaps that are wrapped with Cooper Cobra
tires.
This 1965 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sedan is a great representative
of its model and, with its "ready to roll" condition would be quite
a score for the classic enthusiast eager to get the good times on
the boulevard started right away. Call today!
