Vehicle Description
A red on red 1962 Chevrolet Impala convertible, with plenty of
great options, an upgraded overdrive transmission, and cold-blowing
A/C is already a terrific classic. And that's before you know this
car's international story.
The Impala might be a true classic American, but this car's history
is truly European. It was under long term ownership with GI in
Germany. In 1997 It was sold to its second owner in Holland. It
remained there for a dozen years, and it was even restored in
Holland. It came back to the USA in in 2009. Not only is the car's
story impressive, but you get to tell it while showing off an
iconic classic. The '62 Impala is one of the great cruisers, and it
looks terrific finished a deep and glossy red. Wraparound chrome
bumpers, dual antennas, the hallmark six-taillight arrangement, and
a custom insert for the full-length trim deliver a convertible
worthy of everyone's attention.
We like the way the white convertible top looks against the red,
and it gets even better with the top down. There's something
timelessly cool about a droptop with red inside and out. Plus, the
white piping on the seats and two-tone steering wheel make this
look like a Coca-Cola label. More than just look attractive, you
get all the right features. This includes upgrades like a large
tach and AM/FM/CD stereo mounted in the glovebox. And we know
you'll love the power windows and power convertible top, because
when combined, it means you never have to leave the driver's seat
to go from enclosed comfort to a wind-in-your-hair experience. And
since the upgraded R134a air conditioning is blowing nice and cold,
you can enjoy top-down motoring long into the summer.
Under the hood, the 305 cubic-inch V8 looks quite fresh, and it
should considering it was rebuilt only about 1,200 miles ago.
There's some nice flair with the polished air topper, valve covers,
alternator, and more. The V8 inhales deeply with an Edelbrock
four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet sound out of
the dual exhaust. This feels solid on the road, and as you start to
look over the whole car, you see the right features for easy
cruising near or far. That's why there's power steering, front disc
brakes, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan to help keep it all
running cool. There's even cruise control and a four-speed
automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive.
This Impala has all the best feature to really enjoy the classic
car experience, and it has a story few have ever heard before. So
if you're ready for a truly special classic, this international
Impala is ready for you. Call today!!!
