Vehicle Description
The Honda S2000 established itself as an icon upon its release for
the 50th Anniversary of Honda. A fact that has been reflected by
its ever-growing status as one of the most collectible cars of the
modern age. That's why we were so stoked to find this
showroom-fresh, 944-mile time capsule! In the meticulous care of
one owner until late 2015, this roadster spent its entire life in
California and New Mexico until we trucked it here to North
Carolina. Naturally, the car has been garaged for its entire
existence, and is still assembly line-fresh even after short stints
in the collections of its second and third owners. And original
Silver Stone Metallic 2-stage looks good wrapped around HID
headlamps, factory glass and original, power-operated vinyl.
The most impressive thing about Honda's 2.0 liter F20C 4-cylinder
is its athleticism and power density. Revving to an incredible
8,800 RPM, the engine produces a healthy 240 horsepower straight
from the factory! This particular F20C benefits from a Comptech
Sport Cold Air Intake and Comptech Sport dual exhaust, which
strokes performance even more. That performance is applied by a
6-speed manual transmission, which powers a Torsen limited-slip
differential. At a tidy 2,750 pounds, the car achieves a perfect
50/50 weight distribution over a fully independent suspension.
Turns are electronically assisted. Stops come courtesy of four
power discs. And everything rolls on factory original alloys and
sticky Bridgestone tires.
As you might imagine, driving the S2K is epic fun! Leather Recaros
ensure proper comfort and support. Cool air conditioning joins
power windows, power mirrors and factory Cruise Control to add a
little convenience. In front of the shifter, a one-touch panel
conceals a factory CD player. The driver spins a leather-wrapped
steering wheel around bright digital gauges that include a cool
'light bar' tachometer. And thoughtful touches include factory
hoops and a factory wind blocker.
