Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL !! - VERY RARE !! - BODY-OFF-FRAME RESTORED !! - PAMPERED !! 1970 American Motors Jeep CJ5 4X4 !! It is VERY RARE as only 13,518 CJ5's were built in 1970 !! We recently purchased this Jeep from the previous local Idaho owner and as you can tell it was his pride and joy !! He purchased this Jeep in August of 2012 in mostly original condition and then over the course of two years completed a FULL - NUT AND BOLT - BODY-OFF - RESTORATION. More than $15,000.00 was spent on the restoration !! The body and fenders were removed and media-blasted down to bare metal and rust repairs were performed prior to being primed in epoxy and then painted. The frame was also powder-coated in gloss black at that time. The previous owner told us the odometer reading of 47,369 miles was was the ORIGINAL mileage although we have no way of proving it. It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - firewall mounted Jeep VIN plate which is shown in a picture. This has been a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Oregon - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western truck since NEW and it shows! I drove this Jeep for the last several days and I assure you it runs and drives VERY WELL !! At the heart of this BEAUTY is what appears to be the VERY STRONG - ORIGINAL - OPTIONAL - 225 CID Dauntless V6 motor that is running VERY WELL. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL Style Rebuilt carburetor and the ORIGINAL "Dauntless V6" scripted oil-bath air cleaner housing, etc. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - REBUILT - Borg-Warner "T14" three speed manual transmission that also functions very well and is mated to a BULLETPROOF - REBUILT - Dana Spicer Model 20 gear driven HI / LO transfer case that feeds power to a Dana 44 rear axle and a Dana 27A front axle with Warn manual front locking hubs. The Original Style Emerald Green and Island Blue Vinyl bucket seat Jeep interior is in NEW condition including VERY NICE Emerald Green and Island Blue Vinyl front bucket seats, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Black rubber front and rear floor mats, VERY NICE CUSTOM Billet Aluminum steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge cluster and a VERY NICE NEW Emerald Green and Island Blue Vinyl rear bench seat. All of the black rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple & in NEW condition. The GORGEOUS - Code "477" Island Blue exterior finish is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! and is showing a few very small chips and imperfections that have been touched up but still looks STUNNING !! as you can clearly see in the LENGTHY VIDEO & 100+ ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! The AWESOME !! - NEW - BesTop Removable Black Vinyl top is also in VERY NICE condition and sports VERY NICE MATCHING Black Vinyl removable doors !! This Jeep comes nicely equipped including power steering, factory power wipers, factory manual choke, front seat belts, factory folding windshield, front and rear turn signals, good heater and defroster, factory gauge cluster with 90 MPH speedometer, aftermarket oil / water temperature / voltage gauges, dual stainless steel side view mirrors, roll bar, a Badland 5,000 lbs. winch, Warn manual front locking hubs, factory fold-down rear tailgate and factory back-up lights. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME !! - FACTORY ORIGINAL - steel wheels with ORIGINAL stainless steel Jeep wheel covers wrapped in BRAND NEW Goodyear Wrangler steel belted radial tires, boy do they look AWESOME on this Jeep and really give it that CLEAN - "FACTORY ORIGINAL" - look !! All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright, UNCRACKED and BEAUTIFUL !!
