Wow! It is always refreshing to see an "Old School-Hot Rod" done
right with bright body colors, tightly sewn vertical interior
pleats and period horsepower under the hood. This Forty steps back
in time with period style and driving character while tastefully
incorporating select modern conveniences... Resting on a very
thorough, complete and professional body-off restoration. Designed
as a true 60's style Resto-Rod, the original California steel body
is finished in a Bobco chrome yellow and includes superbly fit body
panels, original factory trim, bumpers, door handles, hinge mirrors
and lighting. Subtle upgrades include 12V Halogen headlamps, LED
rear lighting w/center bumper 3rd brake lamp & period American
Racing Mag wheels (14x6" front -15x8" Rear) and Radial tires
(P175/70R14-P225/70R15)... Retaining the stock factory vin# chassis
and receiving the same level of professional restoration (see
additional photos). Only minor welding and drilling was performed
to accommodate the front rear suspension alterations which includes
factory 110" wheelbase, Ford 8" rear differential (308 ratio), dual
parallel rear leaf springs, Ford rear drum brakes, Superbell 4"
dropped I-Beam front axle, front mono-spring, split wishbones,
factory 40' steering box and power assisted GM front Disc brakes...
Residing under the hood a is stout, smooth and very cool running
stock bore 1948 Ford 239 cubic inch Flathead 59AB V-8 built by Dan
Krehbeil equipped with "Original" polished aluminum "Eddie Meyer"
dual two barrel hi-rise intake manifold (exhaust heated), original
polished dual Stromberg carburetors (300cfm), Don Orrosco Eddie
Meyer polished aluminum cylinder heads, Beehive oil filter, Mallory
dual point distributor, Taylor 8mm plug wires and ceramic coated
Fenton headers w/dual exhaust. Transferring the power is a Dan
Krehbeil built 1948 Ford 3 speed column shift manual
transmission... Moving inside you will find the same level of
attention to period detail, upgrades & professional quality. The
stunning Tuck-N-Roll 1" vertical pleated interior was tediously
sewn by Award Winning thread-master Tom Sewell including factory
original flip back seat, rear package shelf, custom door panels,
German square weave carpet 3 point seat belts and trunk trim. Other
items include factory dash trim, Vintage GEN II Air Conditioning,
"3 on the tree" shift, Ford script gauges and 12V ENOS wiring... In
closing, in an era of tempting modern power-trains, countless
aftermarket goodies & body modifications, the original driving
character and style of these machines are all to often, lost in the
