Vehicle Description
A low-mileage, low-ownership, well-preserved 1992 Chevrolet Camaro
RS is already a tantalizing idea on its own. But then when you see
that this one is loaded with everything you want, including A/C,
the original fuel-injected V8, and an incredibly preserved factory
finish, then you realize how irresistible this one really is.
Bright Red is a color that just belongs on an F-body Camaro. So not
only is it nice that this factory-correct color is looking bright,
but we even believe it to be the original application from the
factory, and it's held up unbelievably well. It gives this
well-preserved coupe extra distinction, and that's the point of
owning a '92. After all, this was both the final year for the
legendary 3rd generation and the 25th anniversary of the Camaro.
This RS model is a "Heritage Package" option (RPO Z03), and it
admirably represents the end of an era for GM. Sharp-edge styling,
dual rally stripes, ground effects, and the graphics package give
this car a terrific presence. Of course, the one option you
absolutely had to have with these cars was the distinctive
color-matched five-spoke wheels that still look great today. In
fact, since this one has only averaged less than 500 miles
annually, you know every time it left the garage it was only for
careful motoring.
When you look inside, you immediately know this Camaro's
distinctiveness goes far beyond the 25th Anniversary badge on the
dash. You can tell by the condition of the gray seats, matching
side panels, and plush carpeting that there has been great care in
this car's lifetime. Like any good RS, this one came loaded right
out of the box, including power windows, power locks, remote rear
hatch release, tilt steering, and climate control, which has been
updated to R134a refrigerant. Having a modern classic like this
means you even get a factory airbag in the steering wheel. The
factory stereo is still in its factory location, and it's just as
capable of pumping out the Bon Jovi today as it was in '92! A truly
remarkable time capsule preserved by the long-term former
owner.
The engine bay looks just as nicely presented as the rest of the
car. Good maintenance of the essentials is combined with carefully
preserved components (even the factory decals are still bright!)
But we know you want this for more than just for its preservation.
These are the first Camaro anniversary models with a fuel-injected
V8. The numbers matching 305 cubic-inch power plant is known for
being smooth on the highway and first off the stoplight. Plus, the
four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive also makes this
coupe the perfect cruiser, especially when paired with the power
steering, front disc brakes, and grippy 215/65/15 BFGoodrich
tires.
Complete with the original owner's manual, this is a terrifically
preserved presentation of a loaded and important Camaro. With only
12k actual miles and one owner from new to 2018, you may never come
across such a special Camaro again. Call now!
