For Sale: 1951 Ford Woody Wagon in Greenwood, Indiana

Vehicle Description

Beautifully built 1951 Ford Country Squire woody wagon resto-mod! This 1951 Ford Country Squire wagon started life as a rust free Florida car that was in very nice original condition when it was found in 2000. The owner responsible for the finished product had been looking for a solid Woody to build once he retired. He found this car in a barn in Gainesville, Florida where it had been stored by the previous owner for over 23 years! I have included some of the photos of the car the day he purchased it and pulled it out of the building. It would serve as a great foundation to start the build with! It took 2 years to finish the car to it's current state. We have owned the car for several years as it has been on display in our museum. It is always one of the favorites of the visitors who see it. The car features a total no expense spared frame off restoration to the original body and chassis. The wood was restored using new maple and mahogany veneer from Honduras and 21 coats of clear. The car received Jaguar Carnival Red paint. It is powered by a GM 350 Ram-Jet 355hp crate motor with Sanderson cast aluminum headers, 2 1/2' stainless steel exhaust with stainless Magna-Flow mufflers. It uses a GM 700R4 automatic transmission, Air Ride Technology front and rear air bag suspension, new Mustang II front suspension, anti sway bar, rack and pinion power steering, power front and reardisc brakes, a Ford 9' rear end with anti sway bar. It rides on factory style steel wheels with factory hubcaps and trim rings. The interior features beautiful Magnolia leather with red Wilton carpeting, power front windows, wood grain dash, restored original gauges that were converted for use with the new 12 volt system and a Vintage Generation II air conditioning system. It was featured on the cover and in an article in the August 2003 edition of Woodie Times magazine. It is just an absolutely beautiful and head turning example of the last of the true woodies! A proud center piece to add to any
