Vehicle Description
All '57 Chevys are alike, right? Wrong! Take a good, long look at
this amazing 1957 Chevrolet 210 2-door and you'll find a huge
amount of time, effort, and money went into the build, with the
result being a show-stopper car that can hammer down the highway
better than almost any other classic on four wheels. It was an
open-checkbook restoration, so you know it's amazing, but you
really need to see it closer to appreciate just how spectacular it
really is.
The color is Pearl White Metallic, a wonderful, soft, sophisticated
hue that gives the 210 a very expensive look. The investment in
quality bodywork is evident everywhere you look and the added Bel
Air trim doesn't leave any areas for shoddy workmanship to hide.
The deep, glossy finish not only makes heads turn with its flashy
look, but it's surprisingly easy on the eyes, and was applied with
an eye toward functionality, so you don't need to be afraid to
drive it. No liberties were taken, no chopped roof, no shaved
handles, and no chrome deletion, as it was important to the
builders to pay respect to the timeless '57 Chevy design.
Spectacular chrome only enhances the sparkling, high-quality look
and you know few things are more expensive to refinish than the
brightwork on a '50s automobile. Add in the bright stainless body
trim that's a highlight of the 210 models and you have a car that
doesn't have a single wrong line on it anywhere.
There's not much 1957 left inside with four gorgeous custom buckets
and spectacular red upholstery all around, combining a mix of
gatorskin inserts/accents and traditional plush leather. The stock
Chevy dash was slightly reworked and now houses a full set of
bright white Classic Instruments gauges in the original 3-gauge
instrument panel and even though the overall look is pure 1957, it
sure seems sleeker and more high-tech, doesn't it? A billet wheel
with leather on the rim, plush red carpets, and a custom center
console that extends to the back seats all add to the modern feel,
and amenities such as A/C, power windows, and a tilt column mean
that you never feel like you're driving a 60-year-old car. The
styling is dramatic and careful attention to detail is why this one
is a show-winner, and you can rest assured that no car in 1957 ever
looked this good. The double din stereo is an AM/FM/CD/iPod system
that sounds great thanks to all the extra sound-deadening materials
used during the build and the trunk is outfitted with more custom
stitchwork and a removable bulkhead hiding the stereo equipment and
battery.
Instead of a ho-hum drivetrain, this beautiful 210 packs the
venerable ZZ4 350 V8 crate motor. Like you, we're tired of seeing
garden-variety engines in these cars, and this high-horsepower
small block will definitely impress passengers and onlookers alike.
It's supremely smooth and thanks to a chrome Quick Fuel carb, it
starts quickly, idles smoothly, and pulls without a hitch. At
shows, you'll be extra proud to pop the hood and show off the all
the bling, including things like the alternator, brake system, and
A/C compressor, as well as air cleaner, valve covers and even the
intake manifold, just to name a few. It's really dressed for show
under there, and the serpentine belt system keeps it all working in
unison. The shine and detail continues to the chassis where you'll
find polished oil and transmission pans, sway bars, control arms,
and a glistening power rack-and-pinion. Wilwood power disc brakes
with drilled and slotted rotors are at every corner, as well as an
H-pipe dual exhaust system featuring ceramic-coated shorty headers
and Magnaflow mufflers that has an awesome sound that won't be easy
to forget. A 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission feeds a
rugged 12-bolt rear end that's ready for red light-to-red light
action and long distance cruises alike. Adjusting the Air Ride
system up or down on those 18-inch chrome wheels look great in any
iteration, and those Goodyear radials are fat enough to handle all
asphalt conditions.
With only 1,950 miles since the frame-off build, this car cost a
heck of a lot more to build than the asking price today. If you
like a bit of sophistication with your performance, this Chevy
delivers in a very big way. Call today!
